We all are striving towards having an irresistible company culture, with magnetic perks, cool team events, room for personal growth and great results. Now imagine having all that, would that be enough for your employees to look forward to Monday? It’s a great start, but you might need to take some extra steps here. So here’s 5 extra (and original!) things you can do to have your employees look forward to Monday.

1. Have a super clear purpose and put it before the profit

In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the pursuit of profits and material success. However, it's important to remember that purpose should always come first.

While profits may be important to sustain a business or achieve personal financial goals, they should not be the sole focus. Purpose, on the other hand, provides a greater sense of fulfillment and motivation. It gives us a reason to wake up every day and work towards something meaningful.

Putting purpose before profit can make the difference between a short-term venture and long-term success. That's the power of purpose.

2. Celebrate failures

By celebrating failures, we create a culture of experimentation and innovation, where it's okay to take risks and try new things. This can lead to greater creativity and success in the long run, as we are more willing to think outside the box and push boundaries.

Moreover, celebrating failures can help to reduce fear and anxiety in the workplace. When we know that it's okay to make mistakes, we are less likely to be afraid to take action and make decisions. This can lead to greater productivity and collaboration, as team members feel empowered to contribute their ideas and take ownership of their work.

Think about implementing ‘Fuck-up Fridays’, or handing out a penguin award. Make it fun to fail. Employees will get more confident to experiment, fail and learn. And that is how you succeed as a company.

3. Implement radical transparency

Radical transparency in companies regarding salary, contracts, and decision-making is crucial for building trust and creating an open work culture. By being open and honest about these aspects of the business, companies can create a more respectful workplace. This means moving away from traditional legal language and adopting a more collaborative approach to contracting.

When employees feel that they have a say in how the company operates, they are more likely to feel valued and invested in the success of the business. Additionally, when salaries are transparent, there is less room for bias and discrimination, which can improve overall diversity and inclusion within the organization.

4. Focus on inclusivity & kindness

Diversity & Inclusion is a hot topic these days. But have you also heard of the abbreviation DEI&B? It stands for Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. So basically it is an even more inclusive term than D&I! When employees feel like they belong and are valued for their unique perspectives and backgrounds, they are more likely to come to work with a sense of purpose and excitement on Monday mornings.

But let's not forget, it's important to remember that kindness plays a crucial role in creating a happy and welcoming workplace. Acts of kindness, such as a warm welcome for new employees, can go a long way in making them feel appreciated and part of the team. So, let's prioritize kindness in the workplace and create a happier and more successful work environment for all.

5. Rock your onboarding!

We may specialize in onboarding, but we're not the only ones who know the importance of a killer onboarding experience. At a recent event hosted by Hibob, it was made clear that onboarding is a crucial part of getting employees pumped for the workweek ahead. So take our advice and make onboarding a top priority!

I am able to continue typing for a few more hours about why this is important; however, you might as well check out our content pieces that are more specific to onboarding.
